Holmside Stud was started approximately
25 years ago moving to it's current premises some 20 years ago.
Situated at 1200 feet above sea level in the northern hills of County
Durham, a picturesque but sometimes bleak, rolling landscape well
suited to Cleveland Bays.
Initially a personal pleasure pursuit, Norma & Denis Wilson have
developed it into a thriving but time consuming way of life. The
Cleveland Bay is undoubtedly the focal point of the operation although
in recent years an interest in continental warmbloods and coloured
competition horses has developed. We now have five stallions, all
of which are leaving us with excellent quality youngstock.
With specialist contacts in Holland and the USA it is now possible to
locate and ship high quality competition horses for all disciplines. In
addition to breeding Cleveland Bays and Warmbloods we can help to
locate and ship to your specific requirements, often finding quality
stock which has not been advertised for sale.
